Susanna Beard
novelist

My background
I've always been a writer, though my career as a novelist started quite late in life.
I relish the escapism of creative writing - I find it both refreshing and freeing.
There's always a new story idea developing in the back of my mind, even when I'm working on a novel. I let it sit there and simmer until I'm ready to focus on it - then I'm surprised how easily it can flow.
